Behavioral Health Services
Resolving mental and emotional health challenges requires special care. At Davis Regional Medical Center, we focus on helping individuals achieve optimal mental health in a professional, caring environment. We offer a range of services for adults, including diagnostic evaluation, crisis stabilization and treatment. Our behavioral health team provides care for a wide range of mental and emotional challenges, from depression and severe mood swings to dementia and acute mental illness.
We offer individualized care in a safe, supportive environment, and develop treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each person. Our inpatient care services are designed to help individuals work through acute mental challenges and resume daily functioning.
Traditions Behavioral Health Unit's program features:

12-bed inpatient unit at Davis Regional Medical Center

Voluntary and involuntary treatment for patients 55 years and older

Short-term unit with average length of stay of 7-10 days

Individually tailored treatment for stabilization of acute psychiatric and behavioral symptoms and crises via individual and group therapy

Seven day per week multi-disciplinary team assessment and treatment consultation, with support from medical staff, as needed
Our multidisciplinary team provides stabilization, evaluation, planning and treatment services in a safe, secure environment. Trained behavioral health professionals address the mental, emotional and physical needs of patients, and help patients learn coping skills to manage their condition effectively. We develop a customized treatment method for each individual that draws from a variety of services and therapies, including:

Crisis intervention

Evaluation of disturbed behaviors, thoughts, mental status

Stabilization of deteriorating psychosocial function

Protection from self harm

Medication support services

Triage to levels of psychiatric care, when appropriate

Discharge planning and referral for continuation of care and full re-integration to home or community
