Special Delivery Tours  for expectant parents or those considering starting a family. 

Bring your family to see our spacious Labor and Delivery rooms while learning more about prenatal educational and fitness programs.  An experienced labor and delivery educator will be your host to answer questions.  Tours are held on selected Thursday nights at 7 pm.  For meeting dates and/or location, please call (704) 838-7458 or (704) 838-7250.       
 

Breastfeeding Classes  to help you nourish & nuture your baby

Breastfeeding Basics helps prepare you to nourish and nurture your baby.  This is a one-time class, and topics include the benefits to Mom and baby, breastfeeding myths, anatomy of breastfeeding, nutrition for the nursing mother, initiating breastfeeding, pumping and storage of milk, and overcoming difficulties.  Classes are held on selected Saturday mornings from 10 am to 12 noon and selected Tuesday nights from 6 - 8 pm. 

Super Sibling Classes  especially for big brothers & big sisters 

This one-time class is designed for siblings between the ages of four and twelve.  Big brothers and sisters are given instructions on baby care, types of feeding, and holding and dressing the baby.  Children are encouraged to ask lots of question.  A certificate will be given at the end of the class.  Classes are held on Saturday afternoons from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm.

Prepared Childbirth Classes  a series of four classes to prepare you for your baby's birthday 

This four-week series of classes will give you information on pregnancy, childbirth and early parenting.  Topics include, but are not limited to, anatomy and physiology of pregnancy and birth, physical and emotional changes, the role of the labor companion, guidelines for nutrition and fitness during pregnancy, stages of labor, comfort measures that work, breathing and relaxation, pain relief options, and care and feeding your newborn.  Classes are held Tuesday nights from 6:30 - 8:30 pm and should begin near the 28th week of your pregnancy.  Pre-registration is required by calling 704-838-7458.

Pre-registration is requested for all classes and calls should be directed to (704) 838-7458 for Breastfeeding, Prepared Childbirth, and Super Sibling.  Pre-registration is not required for Special Delivery tours, and drop-in visitors and family members are always welcome.  For weather-related schedule changes affecting classes, please call (704) 838-7250.
