The Davis Regional Medical Center Laboratory is a full-service laboratory and is certified by the College of American Pathologists.  The department is directed by a team of pathologists who are certified by the American Board of Pathology.  In addition, the pathology team functions as Medical Examiners for Iredell County.

Our Laboratory staff is comprised of medical technologists, medical laboratory technicians, histologists, and phlebotomists. All are certified or certification eligible by nationally recognized agencies. Our Laboratory staff also assists regional institutions of learning in the clinical training of students in the laboratory field.

Our role in patient care is to assist the physician by performing examinations and tests to aid in the diagnosis, and / or treatment of disease or injury. Our services extend to patients of all ages who require inpatient or outpatient care.

Our Services include 

• Anatomic Pathology from 8 am until 4 pm, or later if circumstances warrant
• Consultative on-site pathology coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
• Diagnostic Testing
• Drug & Treatment Monitoring
• Health Screening Testing
• Inpatient care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
• Outpatient services from 8 am to 4 pm, or later if circumstances or appointments warrant
• Post-mortem examination
• Special Donor & Transfusion Services
