Critical Care
Located on the east wing of 3rd Floor, the Critical Care & Telemetry units care for patients who are recovering from major surgery, or a major life illness, such as a heart attack or respiratory failure. Our staff of registered nurses are specially trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. We work in partnership with physicians to ensure our patients receive the best care possible.
The Critical Care unit cares for our most critical patients who require constant monitoring. The unit offers:
• 8 private patient rooms, equipped with state-of-the-art cardiac monitoring
• Close relationship with some of the area’s more prominent cardiologists and surgeons
• Constant observation by an RN
• Specialized support team of respiratory therapists, physical therapists, anesthesiologists, nutritionists, and discharge planners
Telemetry Unit
The Telemetry Unit is a step-down unit for critical care patients whose condition has improved sufficiently enough to no longer warrant the care provided by the Critical Care team. This unit also cares for any patient who requires more intensive monitoring than found in a traditional hospital patient care area. The unit offers:
• 10 large private rooms, complete with private bathroom, and sleeping arrangements for family members
• Constant observation by a RN or specially-trained Telemetry Tech
• State-of-the-art cardiac monitoring
Dialysis
Hemodialysis services are offered for inpatients by specially trained registered nurses, under the supervision of a physician, also trained in Kidney Diseases and Hemodialysis. With state-of-the-art dialysis and monitoring equipment you can rest assured your loved one will receive compassionate, skilled medical and nursing care.
Visiting
We adhere to an “Open Visitation” policy (for the immediate family) as long as it is beneficial to the patient and does not interfere with treatment and recovery. For the convenience of families and visitors, a comfortable waiting area is located adjacent to the unit. Coffee and soft drinks are available.
